How do I find my ring size?
There are two easy ways to find your size at home.
Method 1 — measure your finger
- Wrap a strip of paper or a piece of string snugly around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the length in millimetres — that’s your finger circumference.
- Match it to the chart below.
Method 2 — measure a ring you own
Take a ring that already fits the right finger and measure its inside diameter in millimetres, then match it below.
US ring size chart
| US size | Inside diameter | Circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 8 | 18.2 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 9 | 19.0 mm | 59.5 mm |
Tips for an accurate fit
- Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are cold.
- If you’re between sizes, size up.
